What are List Views
Tables in your Logward account, such as those containing Purchase Orders, Containers, or Warehouses, store vast amounts of information.
Depending on a user's role and workflows, these default tables may present more data than necessary to complete a task efficiently. To address this, users can create List Views for each table, which reduce the complexity of tables and show only the relevant fields.
Working with List Views
- Custom List Views
- All users can create and save personal list views for any table, to which they have at least reading-access. These custom list views do not alter the table appearance for other users and cannot be shared. Once created, you can access them via the 'View' menu on top of the respective table.
- List View Templates
- Account admins and users with the corresponding AddOn permission can create list view templates for the tables they have access to. These templates are shared with one or more role, so all users of the same role can benefit from them. Similar to the custom list views, these templates are accessed via the 'View' menu on top of the respective table.
- Combine Filters with List View Templates
- While List Views manage the column visibility within a table to highlight relevant data fields, filters allow to focus on objects that match specific conditions. Directly adding a list view to a filter configuration ensures maximum efficiency for users. These filter templates additionally support more complex conditions than applying Quick Filters to a table or a list view.
- Link a Filtered List View to the Sidebar
- Once you've combined a filter with a list view template, you can add it as a direct link to your sidebar for fast and easy access. Of course, a filtered list view can also be assigned to a role-specific sidebar.
