Warehouse Settings
In Logward's Time Slot Management System, each warehouse acts as a dedicated table, storing all booking records—whether for pickups or drop-offs—specific to that warehouse. A proper configuration of warehouses ensures smooth scheduling, optimized resource allocation, and improved operational efficiency.
Each warehouse can be customized in the following ways:
- Holiday Calendar - Warehouses can have their own holiday calendars to account for non-operational days. You can:
- Define public holidays, company-specific holidays, or maintenance days, to prevent bookings on non-working days.
- Adjust holiday settings dynamically to reflect changes in business operations.
- Ramps & Availability - A warehouse can have multiple ramps (loading/unloading points), each with its own settings. You can:
- Define individual working hours for each ramp to manage inbound and outbound logistics.
- Set up slot blockers to temporarily disable time slots for maintenance, peak-hour management, or other constraints.
- Configure ramp capacity to regulate the number of bookings allowed per time slot.
- Role Based Access & Configuration - To maintain control and security, each ramp and each warehouse can be assigned specific roles, allowing you to:
- Designate permissions for different users or departments.
- Restrict or grant access to certain warehouse settings based on role hierarchies.
- Ensure that only authorized personnel can modify time slots, ramp configurations, and booking schedules.
In this series, we’ll take you through the complete warehouse configuration process, including:
- Adding a new warehouse to the system.
- Configuring holiday calendars and working hours.
- Setting up and managing ramps.
- Assigning roles and permissions for streamlined control.
By the end of this series, you’ll be able to customize your warehouse setup efficiently, ensuring a well-structured and optimized time slot management system.
